We were proud to recently present a donation of £3,301.94 to the ADD-vance ADHD and Autism Trust, a local charity that supports families across the whole of Hertfordshire.
With a team of over 30 dedicated specialist trainers, coaches, staff and volunteers, they have been working with parents, carers and professionals to enhance the lives of neurodivergent children, young people and their families for almost 30 years.
Supporting worthy causes and giving back to the local community are values embraced by the Directors and employees at Purchase Direct. Twice a year, we host a dedicated Charity Day, during which team members are invited to nominate a charity or community initiative to receive the proceeds raised. Most recently, Becky Robertson, our Surgeries Team Leader, put forward a cause which is particularly meaningful to her.
ADD-vance was delighted to be nominated by Becky to be the chosen charity. The vital funds raised will go towards supporting and educating parents and carers of neurodivergent children and young people across Hertfordshire. As they continue to see an increase in the number of families reaching out for support, Purchase Direct’s donation will help them to offer tailored packages of support that will enable families to create the right environment for their children to grow and flourish.
Debbie Wood – CEO of ADD-vance said, “I want to say a huge thank you to Becky and the team at Purchase Direct for the fantastic amount of funds that you were able to raise during your charity day. We are truly grateful for the support that is offered by individuals and businesses who can help us to continue our mission to help parents and carers of neurodivergent children and young people to understand, embrace and celebrate their neurodivergence.”
Staff at Purchase Direct enthusiastically took part in a fun-packed day in the office, with funds being raised by Mario Kart and pool tournaments, bingo, various team games, a bake sale, plus a raffle and auction – all contributing to a fantastic total raised for charity.
