PURCHASE DIRECT ACHIEVES ISO 14001 CERTIFICATION AND CARBON NEUTRALITY STATUS

We are delighted to announce that we have achieved both ISO 14001 Certification and Carbon Neutrality status in line with PAS 2060:2014.

ISO 14001 is the world’s foremost environmental management standard which specifies the requirements for an effective environmental management system (EMS), and is used for organisations looking to improve their environmental performance.  Our EMS incorporates all aspects of the business, with our objectives aiming to reduce our environmental impact.

PAS 2060 is an internationally recognised standard allowing businesses to demonstrate credible and accurate declarations of carbon neutrality, produced and published by BSI and the Carbon Trust.  By calculating our carbon footprint, implementing carbon reduction measures, and offsetting remaining emissions through UN certified schemes in line with this standard, we can declare this status without the risk of greenwashing.

Anthony Landau, Purchase Direct’s Managing Director commented, “As a business we are committed to improving our environmental impact and this is clearly demonstrated by achieving ISO 14001 certification and Carbon Neutrality.  The hard work doesn’t end here though and we will strive to continually improve in this area whilst maintaining the certification and Carbon Neutral status.  Working towards these two achievements has really helped us focus and improve as a business, and I’m excited to see further improvements over the coming years.”

A growing number of Purchase Direct’s customers have also made the commitment to being carbon neutral by completing our ‘Driving Net Zero’ programme, which provides a simple and effective route to carbon neutrality in line with PAS 2060 standards.  If you would like to receive further information about the programme, please contact our Energy Management team on 01707 299 100 or email info@purchase-direct.co.uk.
