With PAS2060 being withdrawn at the end of the year, insurer payments will be limited to repairers registered under ARIES. Repairers must register through the Portal and submit their Declaration of Commitment by 1st January 2026 to remain eligible.
Over 50% of repairers are now signed up to the ARIES standard, showing their commitment to sustainability, transparency and collaboration to raise standards across the industry. Repairers who have already registered and submitted their Declaration of Commitment are now required to:
- Measure their baseline emissions
- Produce a Carbon Reduction Management Plan (CRMP)
- Ensure the CRMP is verified
These activities must be completed within 120 days after 1st January 2026.
Purchase Direct’s Driving Net Zero programme supports bodyshops that want to move through ARIES in a practical way that also reduces costs. This includes:
- ARIES registration and guidance through each level of the framework
- A practical Carbon Management Plan with targets and return on investment
- Advice and ideas to reduce costs and emissions
- Free energy management software to monitor and reduce usage
- Ongoing account management including regular reviews and site visits
As a member of the ARIES Governance Advisory Group, we also play a role in shaping how sustainability develops across the UK bodyshop sector.
