Last week, Purchase Direct was proud to take part as an Emerald Sponsor at the 2025 NBRA Greener Bodyshop Awards, an evening dedicated to recognising businesses in the accident repair sector making real progress on sustainability.
We work directly with bodyshops across the UK to reduce their costs, lower emissions and achieve ARIES accreditation – and participating in the awards gave us the chance to reflect on the excellent progress being made across the industry.
It was fantastic to see so many of our valued customers among the award winners. Their achievements reflect a wider shift across the industry as bodyshops take proactive steps to reduce emission, adopt greener practices and embed sustainability across their operations. Beyond the awards and accolades, what’s most inspiring is the cultural shift taking place within our customers’ organisations. From front-of-house teams to technicians and senior leadership, staff at all levels are increasingly engaged in embedding greener practices into daily operations and their collective efforts are creating lasting change.
Many of our customers have reached significant milestones on their carbon journey, including the attainment of PAS 2060 certification for carbon neutrality. With the launch of the ARIES standard, there is more progress to be made and we’re committed to supporting UK bodyshops on their next step in sustainability with a structured, measurable framework to drive continuous environmental improvement.
The Greener Bodyshop Awards are more than a celebration — they are a reflection of how far we’ve come, and a clear reminder of the work still ahead. At Purchase Direct, we’re committed to helping our customers lead the way in creating a greener future for the industry.
